While a legal hold is active, otherwise-expired records may be preserved. Release of a hold requires authorized review and audit logging. Admins manage legal holds through Retention Controls.
A legal hold may apply to an account, customer, organization, team, user, domain, project, Trust Declaration, Trust Credential, registry record, invoice, registration, support ticket, security event, privacy request, governance event, lifecycle event, or other record class.
