LEGAL AND POLICY DISCLOSURE

GENTIF™ Terms of Service

Terms for accounts, domains, dashboard workflows, APIs, proof pages, badges, AI features, and beta use.

Last updated: 2026-06-11 · Beta release policy set: v1.9.5j

Important: These Terms are a protective beta-stage template for GENTIF™. They should be reviewed by legal counsel before commercial launch.

1. Parties and service

These Terms govern use of gentif.com, the GENTIF™ customer dashboard, registry API, verification tools, proof pages, badges, directory workflows, AI Readiness tools, Trust Intelligence tools, support channels, integrations, and related services. The open GENTIF™ standard may be described at gentif.com; gentif.com operates the commercial SaaS and registry workflows.

2. Beta mode

During Beta Mode, services are provided for testing and evaluation. Features may be incomplete, disabled, rate-limited, withdrawn, modified, or reset. Public pricing, checkout, final certification, directory launch, and commercial availability may be disabled until GENTIF™ enables them.

3. Accounts and authority

You represent that you are authorized to create an account, add domains, submit declarations, request verification, use AI tools, connect integrations, and act on behalf of the organization or property you manage. GENTIF™ may require additional verification, deny access, or suspend accounts where authority is disputed or cannot be verified.

4. Domain ownership and supersession

Adding a domain does not create permanent ownership rights against the true site controller. Unverified or pending claims do not block a later verified owner. If a domain is managed by a third party, the verified owner may request supersession by proving current control through accepted strong methods such as DNS TXT, root-file, or meta tag verification. Hosted proof, badge display, or other weak proof may support setup but does not by itself supersede verified owner control.

5. Customer content and declarations

You are responsible for all information you submit, including organization details, domain data, declarations, page descriptions, badges, proof-page configuration, directory listing content, AI prompts, integration data, support messages, and uploaded or imported content. You must not submit false, misleading, infringing, harmful, unlawful, or unauthorized material.

6. Certification and directory are not endorsement

GENTIF™ certification, proof pages, directory listing, validation, badges, or AI Readiness outputs do not mean that GENTIF™ endorses, recommends, rates, ranks, guarantees, audits, or vouches for a website, owner, business, product, service, statement, security practice, legal compliance status, or content quality.

7. AI and automation

AI outputs are informational suggestions. They may be incomplete, incorrect, outdated, or unsuitable. You must review AI output before relying on it, publishing it, using it for business decisions, or representing it to others. GENTIF™ may block prompts, requests, outputs, integrations, or agent actions that appear unsafe or abusive.

8. Restrictions

You may not attack, overload, scrape at scale, reverse engineer, bypass controls, misuse credentials, impersonate others, forge verification, misrepresent a GENTIF™ badge, create fake endorsements, submit malicious prompts, exploit integrations, interfere with other users, use the service for unlawful activity, or attempt to manipulate directory, certification, or ownership workflows.

9. Third-party services

GENTIF™ may integrate with third-party analytics, verification, security, notification, ticketing, AI, payment, hosting, or infrastructure providers. GENTIF™ is not responsible for third-party platforms, outages, terms, data practices, or results.

10. Suspension, revocation, and removal

GENTIF™ may suspend, revoke, delist, archive, restrict, or remove any account, credential, badge, proof page, declaration, directory listing, integration, API key, agent key, or workflow if GENTIF™ believes it is inaccurate, unauthorized, abusive, risky, disputed, unlawful, or harmful to the integrity of the registry or platform.

11. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” GENTIF™ disclaims warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability, uptime, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, security, regulatory compliance, commercial value, search performance, AI system recognition, or fitness for any legal, security, compliance, SEO, or business purpose.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GENTIF™ will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, lost profit, lost revenue, lost data, lost opportunity, reputation, certification, search visibility, AI visibility, business interruption, or reliance damages. GENTIF™'s aggregate liability for direct damages will not exceed the amount paid by you to GENTIF™ for the affected service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred dollars if no paid service is active.

13. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless GENTIF™ and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, vendors, and agents from claims arising from your content, domains, declarations, account use, misuse of badges or proof pages, violations of law, infringement, false claims, integrations, AI prompts or outputs you use, or breach of these Terms.

14. Changes

GENTIF™ may update these Terms and related policies. Continued use after updates means you accept the updated terms.
